3. Humboldtⁿ-School: Planetary Health in NRW - Momentum for Change
From 2nd through 4th September 2024, the third interdisciplinary Summer School of the alliance for sustainability of the 16 universities in North Rhine-Westphalia - Humboldtⁿ - will take place at University Witten/Herdecke, in cooperation with the International Center for Sustainable and Just Transformation [tra:ce] at University Witten/Herdecke. Humboldtⁿ is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. Its strategic partners are the Wuppertal Institute and the North Rhine-Westphalian Academy of Sciences, Humanities and the Arts.
This year’s Humboldtⁿ-School focuses on "Planetary Health in NRW – Momentum for Change" from an interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary perspectives. The workshops and lectures will provide insights into research approaches not only from medical sciences but also, for example, social and economic innovation researches. By reflecting on transformation research and incorporating sustainability aspects in research activities, new impulses are to be set. Interactively, participants will reflect on sustainability communication and learn tools of research communication. Thanks to our different cooperative partners, the Humboldtn-School offers a well-rounded programme.
Post-doctoral and PhD students of all subjects from universities and universities of applied sciences in North Rhine-Westphalia who would like to deepen their knowledge and participate actively in the Humboldtⁿ-School "Planetary Health in NRW – Momentum for Change" are cordially invited. The number of participants is limited to 30. Please attach your PhD-abstract (in English) to the application form below. The event language is English. Participation is free of charge and travel expenses as well as hotel costs are funded by Humboldtn. Participants will receive a certificate upon successful completion.
